Maybe combined with trips to thrift shops (where maybe you can also get credit for old decorations?), to get the “shopping bug,” out without going into debt. It’s also a great opportunity for the husband and the kids to share their feelings on the decorations they like best (if they have any). I feel like most of the time we just tell our mothers/wives that “everything looks so great” during the holidays and if we gave specific feedback and create an emotional connection to the objects, that might encourage her to reuse some of those items even if she has a shopping compulsion. I have a family member who went through this. she ended up going to therapy

Knitted or Knit – What’s the Difference?

I feel like forgiveness and vengeance could be tied into the traits each sim has. That would be more fun… It’s true, and it would fill in the missing life stages nicely. (I’m actually kinda liking the fact they’ve broken up the vacation pack as long as they keep doing deeper cuts and adding new features with each pack. Now if only we could get us some witches and werewolves and fairies up in this.). Yeah, something definitely needs to be done with them. Right now they’re basically just sims that you either move out on their own to get them out of your hair, or you keep them around to watch your kids and wait for them to die. I feel like if at every age up stage we received a new trait it would be pretty cool. Except for YA to A as let’s be honest nothing really changes in that time girl. But as of now, I don’t even let my main sim age past Adult because Elder makes me feel bad. I think more RPG elements added to the sims could improve this feeling and make aging fun/worthwhile.

Not necessarily true, they don’t quite have the midlife crisis from Sims 3 that I remember TOO WELL BECAUSE ALL MY SIMS WOULD HAVE PROBLEMS WITH IT? That’d happen in the more middle adulthood age. It’d add more pressure to get your aspirations done before elder years. I also miss the grim reaper hoola dancers from 2 if you got all them did and died , it’d make it kinda funny to die of old age instead of just straight up depressing as shit every time (I mean that’s too girly for me, I work as a CNA in memory care. My faves are kinda always on death’s doorstep minus the really young one in her 60’s that’s just there because she gets lost sometimes) and I miss the humorous element with that. Dark humor helps me cope. these are such good ideas! I can’t believe the grandparent-grandchild interactions aren’t actually in the game. traits too! I never play elders either bc it really is boring.
